A tender was released for the supply of backpacks for the 2009 Sydney World Masters Games - to supply 35,000 - 45,000 unisex backpacks for all competitors. The client was keen for an environmentally friendly backpack with specific features, following a set style guide for logos and colours, at a specific price point, and a tight delivery deadline.
TPS came up with a 66% recycled backpack, made from recycled plastic bottles. As well as being recycled we added a swing tag and a printed recycled message on the backpack. The backpack had all the highly detailed specifications required (all 22 of them!).
We provided pre-production samples for approval, and delivered all backpacks on time, and in excellent condition. From this job, we were also given the opportunity to provide the 3,000 volunteers with waist bags. We submitted a tender document and were successful against 40 other submissions.
